About Us:

History

This area of Belize City was known as the Bakadeer (hence the name Bakadeer Inn) area during the logging days. It is near the riverside where the mahogany logs used to roll down to the Sea for export. The hotel kept this name when it opened in 1991.

Locations and Directions:

Cleghorn Street is conveniently located between the Flag Monument and downtown. From the Flag Monument (at the junction of the Northern Highway near the Belcan Bridge), exit the round-about opposite Northern Highway, as though you are going towards downtown on Freetown Road. Immediately as you exit the round-about take the first right by the Fire Station (before the pedestrian crosswalk). Follow this road a few blocks, and it becomes Cleghorn Street. The Bakadeer Inn is located on the right side of the road just after Mapp Street.
